Alex Minkin

Alex Minkin obtained his undergraduate degree from Queen’s University in Economics and Political Science, and his Juris Doctor from the Osgoode Hall Law School. He participated in an overseas exchange program, attending one semester at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, with a focus on international and constitutional law.

After being called to the Bar of Ontario in 2013, Alex practiced at a boutique civil litigation firm in Toronto. There he gained valuable experience in the courtroom.He has worked on a wide array of cases (employment law, commercial litigation, partnership disputes, construction law and property disputes, among others), representing both the plaintiff side and the defendant side. This opportunity provided him with a solid understanding of every stage in the litigation process.

He has a record of effective advocacy at all levels of Ontario courts. Alx had the privilege of making multiple appearances as lead counsel at the Ontario Court of Appeal, Divisional Court, Ontario Superior Court, Ontario Court of Justice, and Small Claims Court, as well as various boards and tribunals. He strives to find creative practical solutions for clients’ legal problems through diligent research, careful drafting, and tenacious advocacy.

Besides his law career, friends and family, his strongest passion is travel. He has travelled extensively throughout Latin America, as well as in South East Asia and Europe. Alex also enjoys music and sports and he is an avid chess player.
