Courtney Mulqueen has nearly 20 years of experience litigating disability claims from both sides of the table. Disability law has always been her primary focus as a lawyer, leading to the founding of Mulqueen Disability Law.

After graduating from Queen’s Law and articling at an insurance defence law firm in Toronto, Courtney spent the following several years acting as in-house counsel for major life and health insurance companies, defending long-term disability claims and critical illness and life insurance claims.

After starting a family and learning that her mother had fibromyalgia, Courtney sought a role that would allow her to use her legal training, skills and experience to help others suffering medically and financially. She has since represented plaintiffs in disability insurance claims against the insurance companies for whom she once worked.

Courtney has extensive experience at all stages of litigation. She prides herself on her kind and compassionate approach with clients and her practical, aggressive-yet-professional way with the insurance companies. Her professionalism has served her clients well in their lawsuits and has garnered Courtney a respected reputation amongst both plaintiff and defence lawyers in the disability legal community. Her extensive knowledge and acute sensitivity to the needs of disabled persons assures clients that they will be well-represented in their cases.
