Ellen Low & Co. was founded after a decade of practising exclusively in employment law and HR relations. Ellen provides her clients with strategic recommendations, critical evaluations and pragmatic advocacy on all facets of employment and HR law, from initial contract reviews to complex litigation. She regularly represents her clients in court and at tribunals but is equally well versed in mediation advocacy where she assists clients in navigating alternative dispute resolutions and negotiated settlements.
Ellen started her career at Gowlings and was a partner at Whitten & Lublin, a boutique employment law firm.
She obtained her law degree from the University of Ottawa in the Common Law (English) program where she spent part of her last year of law school participating in an international law project based in Nairobi, Kenya. While earning her undergraduate degree at Queen’s University, Ellen played rugby and studied in Cortona, Italy. She is a member of the Labour and Employment Section of the Ontario Bar Association and a member of Women in Law.
