Emily was called to the Bar in March 2019 and has practised almost entirely in the areas of family and divorce law. She has gained extensive experience in these areas, as well as an excellent understanding of how to assist her clients with their separation and divorce.
Emily is a firm believer that settling matters outside of court is usually the best way to move forward as it is typically more cost-effective and clients are happier with the end result because they helped craft it. However, if the negotiations outside of court fail, she is happy to attend court and advocate for her client’s position.
Emily is passionate about giving back to the community and volunteers her time to help do so. Emily volunteered with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre for three years assisting as a pro bono lawyer providing family law advice to Albertans.
