The team at McLeish Orlando LLP has donated 500 turkeys to a local food bank in an effort to help the fight against hunger in the city.
Toronto critical injury lawyers John McLeish and Patrick Brown, partners with McLeish Orlando LLP, made the donation announcement on Breakfast Television, during City TV’s annual Spirit of the Season party.
The turkeys were given to the Daily Bread Food Bank, which distributes food through more than 200 food banks and meal programs across Toronto. The Daily Bread – the largest provider of food relief in the GTA – provides food for an average of 63,000 visits a month to food banks.
The
Daily Bread recently said it has received $1.4 million and almost 200,000
pounds of food in its holiday drive, CityNews
reports,
noting the food bank’s goal is to raise $2.5 million and one million pounds of
food by Dec. 31.
