By LegalMatters Staff • This weekend the clocks move back from Daylight Saving Time (DST) to Standard Time, a yearly tradition that we have no choice but to deal with. Sure we get an extra hour of sleep but the trade-off is less daylight in the evening hours.
There is nothing you can do to prevent the return of Standard Time but you can take steps to mitigate its effects.
Jamie M. Zeitzer, a research professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the Stanford Center for Sleep Sciences and Medicine in California tells EverydayHealth that the end of daylight saving time can be a good time to re-evaluate your sleep habits.
“Kind of like a New Year’s resolution, [it] is a good excuse to do something about your sleep,” he suggests. To read more, click here.
